My Personal Story – I Believe In Magical Unicorns, What’s Your Superpower?
I hope my story can inspire you to prioritize your happiness and positivity and seek a balance in your life, which will give you joy.
My name is I-Ping Yeo, and I am a previously jaded ex-lawyer and now positively charged mompreneur who founded AshleyYeo.com. I am the content creator and the boss girl at AshleyYeo.com. I produce and publish journals, notebooks, planners, pretty printables, and super cute kawaii products under my brand, Ashley Yeo.
Ashley Yeo is a “fictional” character who is very different from me in personality. I am often stressed and burned out while Ashley Yeo is collected, calm, and composed. Together, we produce premium printables for your positivity and self-care, which we happily use ourselves.
Ashley Yeo is also the author and publisher of the “Big Grateful Heart: 52 Week Gratitude Journal”. This is one of my best-selling gratitude journals, and it was a number 1 new release on Amazon as well as on several of Amazon’s Top 100 bestseller lists.
Before changing my mindset about life and embarking on my joyful journey to become a happier person and mom, I was always high strung and bad-tempered. I got upset about small things and would stay agitated the whole day if something made me angry.
There were many instances where I would see the veins on my forehead popping up due to stress. Mired in a delusional brain fog with no direction in my life, I was going through with the motion and living life on automation.
I would go through the same motion every day with little thought and hope that my day would be over soon so that I could get some rest. I was unable to have any joy, self-confidence, and any breakthrough in my life for the longest time.
That was a terrible period in my life. I was a severely stressed work from home mom who saw no end in sight to my long day. I would get so exhausted by the end of each day that I had no energy left to do anything.
Finally, I got so sick of myself and hearing myself whine that I decided I had to change my mindset, get fitter and restructure my online business to focus on just the things which make me happy.
Lack Of Passion, Planning, and Positivity
The 3 nagging issues were: lack of 1) passion and love for what I was doing at that time; 2) planning and productivity in all areas of my life, and 3) positivity as I allowed myself to drown in self-pity.
These 3 hurdles in my life held me back and didn’t allow me to find any happiness even though there was nothing wrong with my life.
Once I had pinpointed all the above issues, I was able to then work on a method to fix my problems.
I had a lack of passion and love for my work because I was trying to do too many things in one go without any plan. As I had so many things on my plate, I was busy checking off my to-do list each day without an end in sight.
When I struck out one item on my list, another thing had popped up. I had all these scrape pieces of to-do lists all over the house, in my inbox, and they had also manifested themselves into a gazillion opened tabs in my chrome browser.
I was disorganized and always falling off the ball in all aspects of my life because I wasn’t planning my days. I was living my days as if I was in a trance, busy checking off my to-do lists and allowing everything that happened within the day to fling itself at me without batting them off with a concrete plan.
I had no plan, schedule, or a routine. Having no structure for the first time in my life after a very structured and routine legal career, I was terrified and living on the edge. It did not help that I was a new mummy who was clueless on how to deal with a screaming baby.
Naturally, due to a lack of passion and organization, I had slipped into a state of unhappiness and absolute exhaustion.
How could I feel happy if I had so many things to do with no time for myself?
Are You A Busy Mom Like Me?
Odds are, you answered with a resounding “Yes!” that was so loud you startled your kids, your dog, and your significant other.
If you were in the library when you read that question, you probably got kicked out!
All kidding aside, moms today have more on their plates than ever before. Indeed, some of us have to homeschool our kids on top of working at our jobs.
As natural caregivers, who often place the needs of others before their own, moms have to make time for their career, their kids and their friends, siblings, and parents, and sometimes even their coworkers and neighbors.
Between running back and forth to and from soccer practice and school, work, responsibilities at home, and social commitments, there never seems to be enough time in the day.
One day morphs into the next, a week becomes a year, and you start to feel burned out, overwhelmed, exhausted, angry, and unable to care for anyone.
While hearing expressions of gratitude and respect from others is nice, many moms today are frequently neglecting the one person in their lives that matters most… themselves!
That is a shame because self-care is a simple practice that can lead to much-improved health and wellbeing in mind and body, emotions, and spirit.
Moms often neglect caring for themselves, and this leads to stress and poor lifestyle habits, which can deliver a long list of poor health conditions. That poor health and wellbeing lead to more stress, and an endless cycle of adverse health conditions feeds upon itself.
It also means moms are often physically, mentally, and emotionally incapable of caring for their loved ones like they want to.
If this much too common condition of moms ignoring the fact that they need to nurture themselves before they can care for anyone else is so prevalent, what is the answer?
What concrete, identifiable, and specific steps can a mom take to have less stress and feel better about herself?
Is there anything that can help you discover spiritual and emotional fulfillment, relieve stress, and also enjoy mental health, all while giving your loved ones the best-ever care and support?

I Believe In Magical Unicorns, What’s Your Superpower?
So how does my love for pretty printables and their value in keeping me passionate about life, productive and positive tie in with the mythical Unicorn?
I use these printable packs to help me attain a state of deep relaxation. I feel relaxed and happy when I journal in my paper journals. I stay in control of my life without allowing it to spiral out of control by planning in my pretty planners. I relax and unwind at the end of each day with simple little crafts and my relaxed coloring sessions.
When I take care of myself through these small acts of self-care, I feel pleased and content. And I sustain my happiness by always keeping this vision of a happy me in my head.
I do not allow myself to wake up on the wrong side of the bed and screw up my day. And I can do this by staying positive and calm with my lovely collection of printables.
There is no such thing as a real Unicorn. I am sorry to disappoint you, but I have never sighted a Unicorn in reality. Of course, you already know that, and I feel almost silly for pointing that out.
Imagining the Unicorn to be real, I did, however, see the playful Unicorn in my mind. In my head, the Unicorn was dancing and playing with the childlike innocence of a child.
Using this powerful imagery of a Unicorn as an analogy, I went on to imagine more glorious visions in my head. I imagined myself to be a publisher. And viola, I went on to publish plenty of low content books and printables for sale.
I imagined myself having more ME time, and soon I managed to free up a lot of my time by simply dropping all the stuff that I did not enjoy doing, and in fact, did not have to do.
If you create a powerful successful vision of yourself in your head, I believe that this power of belief can help you crystallize your vision as your reality.
The Unicorn is not real, but if you believe that it exists, it will reside in your heart and gift you the power of magic. And if you allow yourself to believe in the IMPOSSIBLE (spelled as I M POSSIBLE), you will realize that everything you ever dreamed of is possible and within reach.
If the mystical Unicorn exists even only in your mind, you now have a vision, which you can harness for your powerful magic. The Unicorn exists for you and in your mind, and if you project that vision in your head into reality, you will have made your dream come true.
If all this sounds a bit fluffy to you and you need a more concrete strategy to manage your busy schedule and stay positive, then let me share with you the pretty printables and checklists that I have created to help me stay passionate, productive, and positive so that I have the calm state of mind to focus on my Unicorn, and create the best vision of myself in my head.
