Child Care Connections (“CCC“) is a non-profit (under section 501(c)(3)) that is serving Broadwater, Jefferson, Lewis and Clark, Gallatin, Park, Meagher, and Jefferson counties in Montana.
It offers critical support to families and works with early childhood professionals in the community, so both the quality and access to child care facilities improve.
In a nutshell, Child Care Connections work at multiple levels, including families, early childhood professionals, and the communities.
Child Care Connections is one of seven Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (CCR&R) working in Montana.
As part of the Montana Child Care Resource and Referral Network, Child Care Connections strives to support early childhood professionals and families throughout Montana.
There are several ways Child Care Connections is working towards improving the quality and access to care of children in Montana.
Some of the ways the organization is accomplishing its mission include the following:
- Providing financial assistance for child care to working families (Best Beginning Scholarship).
- Offering nutrition and wellness education to families and child care professionals (Child Nutrition Programs).
- Provide extra support for families and child care facilities that accommodate children with special needs.
- Helping families find the best child care provider and make the right choice for their children.
- Family level and community-wide outreach.
- Offering professional development opportunities, coaching, and technical support to early childhood professionals (Child Care Providers Trainings).
- Recommendations and referrals for child care facilities and community resources along with individualized services to families as well as child care providers.
- Consumer education and public policy at a larger scale to bring a change in the law for enhanced access to child care across the board.
