In today’s post, I will share a lot of information about a similar child care facility that works on several fronts.
It offers support to families and works with early childhood professionals so that they develop the right skills and expertise.
As a result, it strives towards enhancing the quality of child care on a community-wide level.
Let me introduce Child Care Connections, a non-profit organization working towards improving child care quality in our community.
Child Care Connections – Overview
Child Care Connections (“CCC“) is a non-profit (under section 501(c)(3)) that is serving Broadwater, Jefferson, Lewis and Clark, Gallatin, Park, Meagher, and Jefferson counties in Montana.
It offers critical support to families and works with early childhood professionals in the community, so both the quality and access to child care facilities improve.
In a nutshell, Child Care Connections work at multiple levels, including families, early childhood professionals, and the communities.
Child Care Connections is one of seven Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (CCR&R) working in Montana.
As part of the Montana Child Care Resource and Referral Network, Child Care Connections strives to support early childhood professionals and families throughout Montana.
There are several ways Child Care Connections is working towards improving the quality and access to care of children in Montana.
Some of the ways the organization is accomplishing its mission include the following:
- Providing financial assistance for child care to working families (Best Beginning Scholarship).
- Offering nutrition and wellness education to families and child care professionals (Child Nutrition Programs).
- Provide extra support for families and child care facilities that accommodate children with special needs.
- Helping families find the best child care provider and make the right choice for their children.
- Family level and community-wide outreach.
- Offering professional development opportunities, coaching, and technical support to early childhood professionals (Child Care Providers Trainings).
- Recommendations and referrals for child care facilities and community resources along with individualized services to families as well as child care providers.
- Consumer education and public policy at a larger scale to bring a change in the law for enhanced access to child care across the board.
Since Child Care Connections is one organization working as part of the Montana Child Care Resource and Referral Network, it works statewide to improve child care access and quality.
How Can You Help?
Organizations such as Child Care Connections have a huge mission. They aim to improve the quality and access to child care facilities for families. Hence, the future generations of the country are more equipped with the tools and life skills necessary for a successful and fulfilling life.
And they are taking the right steps towards accomplishing their mission. Unfortunately, organizations like CCC cannot achieve their objective without your support.
They need people like you and me to come forward and take the responsibility of improving the community we are a part of.
Only when individuals work with organizations such as Child Care Connections can there be a systemic change in early child care at both a micro-level and at a larger scale.
Some of the ways you can help the organization include the following:
Become A Child Care Provider
If you are great with children and want to start up a business, then become a child care provider and open a child care facility at your home.
When you set up a child care facility, Child Care Connections offer professional development opportunities and reimbursement for meals for the children in your facility.
Moreover, you can also enjoy tax savings while being at home with your children.
Get Involved Through Advocacy
There is a statewide shortage of quality child care facilities, along with the high-cost families are required to pay for the service.
The pandemic has only made matters worse for families with young children. Why not push the lawmakers to bring about a change in the legislation so families with children can get better access to child care facilities.
You can advocate for the cause in several ways, and a designated section on the Child Care Connections website offers a complete range of tools to help you get started.
On a personal level, if you cannot invest time, there are always other ways to contribute to the organization.
Child Care Connections accept donations for amounts as low as $5. You can also donate to specific programs and needs that the organization aims to fulfill.
You can sponsor a helmet or support a child with special needs depending upon how much you are willing to donate for the cause.
You can choose between one-time donations as well as donations periodically. Child Care Connections is a non-profit organization, and all your donations are tax-deductible.
At a more significant level, you can always convince your employer to donate to the right cause.
Let your employer think of donations for CCC as an investment that will repay in terms of a prospering community in the future.
For a brighter future, the community needs YOU! Get involved with Child Care Connections directly through donations and working with the organization.
But there are other ways you can help bring a change in your community for the better. Follow Child Care Connections on social media, volunteer with them at an event, or bring child care to your workplace.
Regardless of your skills and experience, you are capable of becoming a part of the team that fights for improving child care facilities at a larger level.
So what are you waiting for? Connect with Child Care Connections now!
