I Look Forward To My Small Accomplishments Each Day
I am going to
Having small accomplishments each day is very important to me. It makes me feel like I have achieved my baby goal or goals for the day, and it helps me feel a sense of satisfaction.
Small accomplishments could be any of the following for me:
1. Feeding my munchkin breakfast and getting him to school on time.
Even if I am 5-10 minutes late for school, I won’t let it get me down. I will try harder to be on time the next day.
It’s tough getting my young one to school, and nearly every morning, it would be a great struggle.
However, over time, it has gotten a bit easier, and I hope this gets easier with each passing day.
2. Starting my day without feeling disagreeable or irritable even though I slept late the night before.
Generally, I try to sleep early every night so that I can wake up before sunrise.
I like the feeling of the early bird catches the worm, so waking up before the sun rises makes me very happy.
When I am up early, I get to squeeze in some work before I get ready for the school run.
This gives me a sense of accomplishment early in the morning, and it helps me set my mind for a day of more baby achievements.
3. Writing at least 1000 words daily for my website AshleyYeo.com.
Operating a website for commercial purposes is a tough business. This is because there are plenty of sites out there vying for your attention.
Therefore, I need to keep writing and updating exciting content for my website to compete in the ultra-competitive e-commerce small business.
So far, I have been missing my mark. I haven’t written in the past two days, nor did I
I was feeling exhausted from the holiday festivities and sleeping late at 4 am on 1 January 2020 after counting down didn’t help.
I am not going to let this bother me. I will attempt to write more than 1000 words for the next few days to make up for the shortfall in the word count.
4. Attending to all the small business stuff that a mumpreneur and solopreneur like me must finish up for the day before I make a dash for the school to pick up my munchkin.
I have sorted all my small business tasks into daily tasks that I must complete for the day, and I have a timetable to tell me what to do each day.
It is a fluid schedule, but I try to stick with it so that it becomes a work habit I have to keep to.
Self-Reflection On Today’s Live Journaling Session
Digital journaling helps me write more and faster, I think. But it feels a bit cold to be typing one’s inner thoughts and feelings onto a keyboard and into a word processor.
I am not sure I am feeling the love from today’s journaling session from a spiritual level.
However, digital journaling is quick, and for me, it helps me share with you my thoughts on journaling in rapid spurts because I have only set 15 minutes for myself for each live journaling session.
There are a few more live journaling sessions left in this 15-minute digital journaling series.
Please visit my site tomorrow for the next live journaling session.
