Planning Your Summer Around Self-Improvement Activities
In addition to printing off my Big Better Me Worksheets Bundle Box, you can also take this summertime to try several fun activities you can do to improve yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually. While many people see summer as a time to be lazy, you can have fun and see improvement at the same time. You can have a rich and rewarding experience this summer while you enjoy yourself. And you’ll be healthier in the fall as a result!
Ways to Gain Physical Strength Over the Summer
The most crucial self-improvement challenge for many people is physical health. You may want to lose weight, gain muscle, or both. Or perhaps you’re already healthy, but you want to maintain your current level of fitness. Healthy and wholesome physical activities are plentiful in the summertime.
Surround yourself with like-minded people who share your physical fitness goals. If you are unable to meet up in person, do it online via Zoom or whichever platform you fancy. It’s much easier to stay on a fitness plan when you have others to help you. If you share similar goals and struggles, you can lighten the load and encourage each other to keep on moving forward. A partner makes it harder to give up your physical fitness goals.
Here are a few ideas to help you take action toward your physical improvement goals for this summer:
* Start a fitness journal and keep track of your fitness goals and track your fitness levels.
* Keep a fitness planner so that you may dedicate time to your fitness plans.
* Set a fitness goal that inspires you, such as running for a certain distance without stopping.
* Try many different forms of exercises until you find one or more that you genuinely enjoy.
Strength in Other Areas
You can gain emotional and mental strength too. This summer, many activities can take you outdoors and get you moving. But plenty of summer activities promote your mental, emotional, and spiritual advancement as well.
For instance, you could make the most of your summer by taking the time to learn to relax. Instead of spending your summer hurrying from activity to activity, decide that you’ll nurture yourself and provide your body with the rest it needs. The most important thing is to find a balance between physical activity and the rest your body needs.
When your body gets the rest it needs, you’ll have more energy and motivation to tackle other self-improvement goals. Taking the time to recharge your batteries provides your body with the fuel it needs to make the most of the abundant opportunities that summer brings.
Use these ideas to recharge your batteries and feel happier at the same time:
* Take a class in a subject matter you enjoy that meets online, instead of in a crowded classroom.
* Study nature through a quiet activity, such as bird watching. Stuck at home? Why not spend some time browsing and reading bird-watching books, or ogle at beautiful bird pictures on birding websites?
* Meditate in a park or other natural setting where it’s peaceful. Can’t leave your home? You can also meditate in the comforts of home via a mediation app.
* Meditate on the beach, with the waves as background noise. Rather meditate at home and not get dirty from the sand? Lie on your bed and listen to some guided meditation tracks.
Keep your mind open for creative self-improvement opportunities. You don’t have to be running in the gym or sitting in a classroom full of complex ideas to be improving yourself. There are so many ways to move forward that you can find self-improvement opportunities in almost any activity!
When you keep your mind and heart open, you can make choices and take chances that help you shape a bright future. It’s through these things that you become whole and get in touch with your inner self. And you can begin that exciting journey today!

About Me and Let's Connect!
My name is I-Ping Yeo but I write in my alter ego Ashley Yeo cos when I first started online, I was too shy to be me. Silly! Now that my whole website and brand is built on Ashley Yeo, I am gonna stick with it (cos I am too lazy to change it and too much money has been spent on Ashley Yeo) and spread some sweet cheer!
I am a previously jaded ex-lawyer and now positively charged mompreneur who founded AshleyYeo.com. Ashley Yeo is a “fictional” character who is very different from me in personality. I am formal and boring while Ashley Yeo attempts to live a bit more dangerously but within acceptable boundaries.
I produce and publish content under my brand Ashley Yeo. I produce content mainly about homeschooling, education, digital and online learning, self-care, gratitude, ikigai (Japanese term for “reason to be”), infectious happiness strategies, passion, positivity, planning, and productivity for moms. And I also share boss girl e-commerce strategies I am testing, and resources I am using, on my own small boss girl indie business.
I conjure seriously juicy journals, notebooks, planners, coloring stuff, printables, and pretty kawaii products out of love, peaches, and cream.
I am the author and publisher of the "Big Grateful Heart: 52 Week Gratitude Journal". This is one of my best-selling gratitude journals, and it was a number 1 new release on Amazon as well as on several of Amazon's Top 100 bestseller lists.
I especially love to produce premium printables complementary to your homeschool curriculum, and for your family's positivity and self-care.
