Ashley Yeo
Who Is Ashley Yeo?
My name is I-Ping Yeo, and I am a previously jaded ex-lawyer and now positively charged mompreneur who founded AshleyYeo.com.
I am the author and publisher of the “Big Grateful Heart: 52 Week Gratitude Journal”. This is one of my best-selling gratitude journals, and it was a number 1 new release on Amazon as well as on several of Amazon’s Top 100 bestseller lists.
Before changing my mindset about life and embarking on my joyful journey to become a happier person and mom, I was always high-strung and bad-tempered. I got upset about small things and would stay agitated the whole day if something made me angry.
There were many instances where I would see the veins on my forehead popping up due to stress.
Finally, I got so sick of myself and hearing myself whine that I decided I had to change my mindset, get fitter and restructure my online business to focus on just the things which make me passionate.
Ashley Yeo is a “fictional” character who is very different from me in personality. I am often stressed and burned out while Ashley Yeo is collected, calm, and composed. Together, we produce Super Cute Products, such as Super Cute Printable Packs, Stickers, Mugs, Posters, T-shirts, Cute Everything Else with Strong Positive Messages for ya.
What Are Planner Printables and How They Can Help You Be a More Productive and Positive Person
Pretty Planners for Super Powerful Planning Strategies: Prudent Planning for Staying Organized and Unfrazzled
Do you ever feel like life has gotten a little on top of you?
It’s okay – I feel that way from time to time!
Take a look around you, and you’ll possibly see piles of clothes that haven’t been put away. Maybe your kitchen is full of dishes.
You likely have unfinished to-do lists that are as long as your arm, and you probably don’t have any time to pursue the things that you are passionate about.
Again, this is just part of being a stressed person in the 21st century.
But then again, there are those persons that don’t seem to have this problem. There are superheroes who just seem to be on top of everything all the time. You know the ones: the ones you secretly love-hate.
You’ve been around their homes, and you’ve seen just how pristine everything is. And even when you try and catch them out by dropping in unannounced, they still have perfect homes!
They probably manage to do this while also raising three children and running a home business that has taken off immensely.
They always have time to write Christmas and birthday cards (you think they do it to shame you), and they attend every social event. They ought too; they arranged them all after all!
So, what’s their secret?
The answer is simple, really: it’s organization.
Or more precisely: it’s systems.
We all have a certain amount of time in the day, and we all have a finite amount of energy that will limit just how much we can accomplish in that time.
The problem is that we don’t think about how to most logically and efficiently structure this time. As a result, we find ourselves worrying about what to do first, and we become quickly overrun and disheartened.
Most of us have an overwhelming number of things that we need to do, which in turn leaves us with no clue about where to start. And you know what happens when you have no idea where to start?
You Don’t Start!
The result is that you end up procrastinating: half relaxing and half stressing about all the things you need to do. Perhaps you make a half-hearted attempt at crossing one thing off your list.
And meanwhile, your washing goes unwashed, and that all-important email goes unanswered. Another day, and you’re no closer to feeling on top of things.
But by applying smart systems, you have a process. You have a simple order for completing recurring tasks and a strategy for dealing with what’s unexpected.
Having a smart system allows you to fit everything that you need to do logically around your day so that you can still find time to spend with the people you love, or to do the things you want to do.
By creating systems, you can reduce the amount of time every job takes, and remove the stress from it.
THAT is how you become a superhero. THAT is how you start kicking life’s ass.
Here’s a Quick Tip You Can Have for Free That Will Make a BIG Difference
Want a quick tip?
Plan time for YOU. Plan time to unwind and enjoy yourself. After a hard day at work/looking after the kids, you sometimes need that little bit of TLC. You need that opportunity to enjoy yourself and to relax.
This is part of the reason that many of us find it so hard to do the thing that we know we should do when we get time: because we’re just so desperate to watch the rest of that boxset or to relax.
But by scheduling downtime as part of your plan, you remove this inner-struggle. You now find it much easier to be productive because you know you have some serious downtime just around the corner.
Setting aside time for play is game-changing because it not only makes you more productive but also more relaxed!
There are many other ways that smart planning and organizing can make you a more efficient person too. Abiding by the “one-minute rule” (if something takes less than a minute to do, tick it off your list right away), for example, can help you to stop stressing about those little things.
By using the theory of Kaizen meanwhile (borrowed from the Japanese manufacturing industry), you can structure your tasks in such a way that each one becomes quicker and easier – accomplishing twice as much with half the time and half the effort!
